Charitable foundations are just one part of the parallel government that Carroll Quigley wrote about in his book, Tragedy and Hope and the Anglo-American Establishment. Foundations use their considerable wealth to influence the population of the world towards specific ideas and concepts. The Reece Committee was set up during the 83rd Congress to study tax-exempt foundations and their influence on society. One of the researchers, Rene A. Wormser wrote a book in 1958, called Foundations: Their Power and Influence, which is the focus of this series of talks about this very important and complicated subject.
